w Uf TED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET N0 50-327 TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDHENT FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO DPR-77 The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 24 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-77 issued to Tennessee Valley Authority (licensee) for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Unit 1 (the facility) located in Hamilton County, Tennessee.
The amendment changes the license condition related to hydrogen control neasures and also changes the Technical Specifications to reflect the instal-lation of a pemanent hydrogen mitigation system. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
Issuance of the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's regulations.
The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Com-ils-sion's regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Commission has determined that the issuance of the amendnent will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR Q51.5(d)(4) an 8m
- g environmental impact statenent or negative deciaration and environmental impact ruo N8 appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of the amendment.
