Dear Mr. Seyfrit:

On August 17, 1978, we reported to Mr. Tom Westerman, Region IV, the failure i

of a weld in a drain line in "A"LFSIloop as a potential significant deficiency.

The section of pipe containing the failed weld has been removed and replaced.

Our Architect-Engineer has completed a metallurgical examination. We are still evaluating what corrective action is to be taken and the final report will be submitted upon completion of our evaluation. An interim report is.

provided.

. Another report will be submitted by December 28, 1978.
