Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Radiological Environmental Monitoring Land Use Census TMI Environmental Controls recently completed the NRC required Land Use Census per Section IV.B.3 of Appendix I of 10 CFR Part 50.
As a result of this survey, a newly established dairy farm was located which yields a calculated dose or dose commitment greater than six of our seven present milk sampling stations.
TMI-l Technical Specifications Section 3.23.2 requires that if a location is identified which yields a calculated Jose or dose commitment greater that the current sampling locations, that the Commission be notified by a Special Report which provides the information for the new location, and that this new location be added to the radiological environmental monitoring program within 30 days.
In accordance with these requirements, be advised that the dairy farm located is operated by Robert L. Gruber and is situated on Pecks Road approximately 1.10 miles east of TMI.
Environmental Controls has contacted Mr. Gruber and he has been supplying milk samples since September 14, 1982.
'The complete results of the Land Census will be included with the Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report which will be submitted by May 1, 1983.
