Byron Station Units 1 and 2 Braidwooci Station Units 1 and 2 Vessel Material Surveillance Capsules NRC Docket Nos. 50-454, 50-455, 50-456, and 50-457
Dear Mr. Denton:
This is to provide additional information regarding the reactor vessel material surveillance programs for the Byron and Braidwood vessels.
NRC review of this information should close Confirmatory Issue 11 of the Byron SER.
As indicated in the response to FSAR question 251.4, the reactor vessel material surveillance program for Byron 1 and Braidwood 1 have been described in detail.
Similar information for Byron 2 and Braidwood 2 is to be provided by 1984, well in advance of fuel load.
As indicated in section 5.3.1.6 o f the FSAR all such surveillance will conform with ASTM-E-185 " Recommended Practice for Surveillance Tests for Nuclear Reactor Vessels," and 10 CFR 50, Appendix H.
