i' SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SON)-TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS) CHANGE 93-21,

" REVISION OF FIRE DETECTION INSTRUMENTATION" in accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, we are enclosing an amendment to Licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 to change the TSs of SON Units 1 and 2. The proposed change adds one additional icaization detector to Fire Zones 184,185,186, and 187 to ensure compliance l

with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 72E requirements. This change affects l

I TS Table 3.3-11, " Fire Detection Instruments," for both units at SON. The modification associated with this proposed change was completed during the recent Unit 1 refueling

'i outage.

The proposed TS change is identified in Enclosure 1, The justification for the proposed TS change is provided in Enclosure 2. A proposed determination of no significant safety.

hazards consideration performed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.b2 is provided in Enclosure 3.
