Management actions enhancing the Fitness for Duty program y
during this reporting period were-During pre-access processing for RF06, 14 contractors were denied access for violating the Fitness for Duty policy.

There were two FFD appeals during this reporting period.
The appeals board concluded that the actions associated with the positive drug te*
were valid and upheld the original positive test decisi n.
Fitnega_for Duty Initiatives Taken:
Hardware and software upgrades helped to decrease the processing time of pre-access drug screening from 6 to 4 hours4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br /> for RF06.
The decrease in processing time expedited the badging process for RF06.

Random drug testing rate at GGNS and Echelon at the end of l
this period was 100%.
t An enhancement to the Intoximeter Alco Sensor IV was performed in December to allow the addition of the individual's social security number.
This addition ensures proper identification of an employee's alcohol breath test i
result.
The Abbott datatra; program was upgraded from version 6.5 to 7.5.
Effectiveness Evaluation:
't The Pitness for Duty Section continues to update and revise Fitness for Duty procedures based on operating experience, lessons learned and NRC audits conducted at other nuclear i
sites.

.i During the existence of the Fitness for Duty program, there has been a significant decrease in the number of positive drug screens.
