Dear Mr. Toalston:

The following is in response to your letter of August 6,

1982, and received in this office August 12, 1982.

Item 1.

Customers to which we supplied wholesale power during the year 1982 were City of Redbud, City of Fairfield, City of McLeansboro, Central Illinois Public Service Company and the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Our generating capacity was 272 Megawatts.

Our peak system load in 1981 was 152 Megawatts.

We purchased power from Hoosier Energy Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc., Big Rivers Electric Corporation and the South-eastern Power Administration.

Our transmission system includes 671 miles of 69 kV lines, five (5) miles of 138 kV lines and 119 miles of 161 kV lines.

Item 2.

We have not sought participation in the Byron /Braidwood or Carroll County nuclear units.

Item 3.

We have not sought any type of bulk power service from Commonwealth Edison.
