Reference:
Letter, G. G. Sherwood (GE)to R. C. DeYoung (NRC),
Same Subject, May 12, 1982.
This letter is intended to clarify the applicability of this reportable condition to BWR plants. At the time the referenced report was submitted on the HPCS diesel generator air start system, General Electric was still investigating which plants (other than Grand Gulf) had this problem.
General Electric has subsequently concluded that the condition is unique to the Grand Gulf plant design.
