On October 8, 1993, Georgia Power Company ("GPC") served Georgia Power Company's First Set of Interrogatories and Second Request for Production of Documents to the NRC Staff. On December 20, 1993, the NRC Staff responded to that discovery request, objecting to certain interrogatories.
The interrogatories to which the Staff objected requested iniurmation which goes to the very heart of the subject matter of this proceeding. On December 30, 1993, I contacted NRC Staff counsel in an attempt to obtain a response to one of those '
interrogatories (no. 9). NRC Staff counsel stated that it would not provide a response and that I should submit the matter to the Board for a decision.
