Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket Nos. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L-835.0 Monthly Operating Report AECM-82/348 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.36, Mississippi Fower and Light Company is providing the Monthly Operating Report for Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 for July 1982 (Attachment I).
Discussions with Mr. M. Beebe of the Management Information Branch and our Mr. R. Phares indicate that four copies of NUREG 0020 " Licensed Operating Reactors, Status Summary Report" (Gray Book) are available for distribution to our offices Attachment II provides the names and addresses for the above distribution.
Discussion with Mr. Beebe also indicate that it is acceptable to submit the Monthly Operating Report by the 15th day of the month following the calendar month covered by the report. Our review of the Grand Gulf Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) indicates a compliance to the guidance of Regulatory Guide 1.16, Revision 4, August 1975.
Specifically position C.1.c. indicates that the Monthly Operating Report should be submitted by the tenth of the month following the calendar month covered by the report.
Sinca the Grand Gulf Technical Specifications 6.9.1.10 and members of the Management Information Branch agree, Mississippi Power and Light Company will take exception to Regulatory Guide 1.16 position C.1.c. and revise the FSAR accordingly in an upcoming amendment. A copy of the proposed amendment is provided in Attachment III.
