A draft of the updated Cnapter 18 of the SBWR Standard Safety Analysis Report (SSAR) as discussed in our telecon of October 6,1993, is contained in Attachment 1 to this letter. This draft is based upon markups of the February,1993, SBWR SSAR submittal (Sections 18.1 through 18.8) and of Amendment 32 of the ABWR SSAR (Appendices 18E and 18F). Appendices 18A -D are not included in the present draft since no modifications of these latter appendices, from the February SSAR submittal, were considered necessary at this time.
