OHIO EDISON COMPANY PENNSYLVANIA POWER COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE P

The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amendment No. 55 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-66 issued to Duquesne I

Light Company, Ohio Edison Company, and Pennsylvania Power Company (the licensees), which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No.1 (the facility) located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.

The amendment consists of a change to the Environmental Technical Speci-fication, deleting the requirement for daily chlorine sampling at the condenser discharge.

The application for the amendment complies with the standards and require-ments of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate i

findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior i

public notice of this amendment was not required since this amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
