I The Commission has issued Amendment No. 3 to Facility Operating License No. R-101 for the TRIGA Mark III nu': lear research reactor. This amend-ment consists of changes to the Facility Operating License and Technical Specifications in response to your application dated August 7,1980.
These changes will pernit possession of up to 25 grams of enriched uranium other than fuel elements (e.g., in fission chambers), permit the use of the 1 and 10 C1 PuSe sources for experimental activities not in connection viith the operation of the reactor, correct a discrepancy in the maximum allowable rod drop time, and reduce ambiguity by more accurately describing current practice and usino accepted terminology. The NRC staff has modified your or'iginal request slightly, and these changes have been discussed with and l
