Per our telephone conversation, I am enclosing a copy of the Licensing Board's April 24, 1978 Prehearing Conference Order designating the admitted contentions and a copy.of.ny August 6, 1980 letter.to the Licensing Board and parties relative to the flRC pilot program of procedural assistance in adjudicatory licensing proceedings. On the basis of the expected schedule for the issuance of flRC documents in l
this matter, I believe that a hearing on the contentions other than A4 (seismicity) and A8 (cmergency planning) could commence in 111d -
March, 1981.
I am also advised by Counsel for the Applicant,
!!r. Joseph Knotts, that he would like to explore the possibility of arriving at soac form of settlenent of some or all.of your contentions in this proceeding without the necessity for litigation.
I am willing to participate in any such process df desired.
