Dear Mr. Perry:

I have enclosed a copy of the schedule for hearing emergency planning contentions in the Callaway OL proceeding recently issued by the Licensing Board in the case. While no hearing date has yet been set by the Board, 10 C.F.R. $ 2.743(b) provides that a hearing will be held no less than 15 days after service of testimony. Given the Board's present indication of moving ahead as expeditiously as possible, the attorneys assigned to the case expect the hearing to commence either the last week in October or the first week of November.
