Dear Sir:

TEC attended the energy hearing in Wilkes-Barre-Pa. on Jan.30-79 presented objections to the licensing of the Eerwick plant,we also disclosed the tragedies of other nuclear plants in other cities.

  1. On Jan.31-TEC sent imC a letter-accompanied with many brochures-in-forming them of the cancer-leukemia and muscle diseases that are caused by nuclear plants in other cities.

Eowever-we received an answer to our second letter-from IIRC-claiming our first; letter was not received by NRC. With the disaster of the Three Mile Island Plant-ve more than ever rec uest a'HORATORIGI' on all energy plants (nuclear) until a safer way is developed. TALC does believe in one plant out in th est-away from ci.vilication - used as an experimental plant-when safe t should be utilized as a SAMPLE NUCLEAR INERGY PLANT. Hut-in the meantime-such sources as garbage powerv solar energy-hydro-electric power-thermal power-and scal..If... our government can spend millions of dollars to reach the moon-that amount can be doubled and tripled to ~ reach the bowels of the?. earth ~ for coal. As we understand we have a supply to last for a hundred samuler -will take ov.er -in hundreds of cities in the United States. years etc. By th 9piJ V To the above we add - Gaschol where American owned oil companies are marketic gaschol-a blend of gasoline and alcohol-which they have refused to d'evelop and sell in the United States. Please read Jack Andersons' comments - we agree with Jack. 3razil - is not hurting for gas-they are using their inte-lligence to their advantage-utilizing gaschol etc. We thank Jack for this reminder-as two yrs. ago be tried for a crash program to produce gaschol. Fut Pres. Carter has ignored gaschol-and insists to beg-for oil from the Arabs - who have taken advantage of the United States-but-the President insists on going back for more -rather than start with gasohol and other sources of "uel. We are requesting NRC to contact President Carter and present the stsr7 of 3razil and gaschal -plus the above dources Attorney 3echoffer -we trust this letter will be discussed at your next =ee ting-and that action will betaken.Thank you. 7 9 0417 9 ;9 g -arne u c=-:res ..C j,
