l g(SSW) Loop B Functional Test l 06-OP-lP41-M-0003 i l 1.0 PURPOSE 1.1 The purpose of this procedure is to demonstrate monthlv that the Standby Service Water (SSW) Loop B and Standby Service Water Easir, 2 arc CPERABLE by meeting the following requirements of GGNS Technical Specifictions 4.0.5., 4.7.1.1.a, 4.7.1.3.b., and ASME Code Section XI.

g .2 This procedure may be used on Safety Related Equipment.

2.0 PRECAUTIONS AND LIMITATIONS 2.1 If a SSW actuation signal occurs during this test ensure IP41-F006B, the recirculation valve, closes.

2.2 If this procedure is being used to demonstrate operability of a single component, NA the steps not associated with the component and make a not at ion on the Data Package Coversheet..

2.3 Steps marked with a " pound sign" within the body of this procedure are to be recorded on Data Sheet I.

3.0 REQUIRED MATERIAL AND TEST EQUIPMENT 3.1 Pyrometer or equivalent

5.0 INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 5.1 Obt ain Shif t Supervisor / Superintendent permission to start the test.

(Shift Supervisor / Superintendent's required on Attachment I)

  1. 5.2 Verify SP41-F002B, minimum flow isolation valve is locked open.
  1. 5.3 Place the SSW DIV 2 MOV TEST handswitch (lH13-P870-7B) to TEST.

Acknowledge the SSW DIV 2 MOVS IN TEST MODE alarm (7A-D2) the SSW MOV IN TEST STATUS light.

5.5 Open P41-F006B using the SSW PMP B RECIRC VLV handswitch (lH13-PS70-5C) to achieve a flow approxmiately equal to reference flow.

  • 5.6 Start SSW Sasin B Tower fans using the SSW CLG Tower Fan C and D handswitches lH13-?870-7C and allow fans to run at least 15 minutes.

i 5.7 Record SSW Basin B level from recorder LR-R604B SSW Basin LVL (lH13-P870-7B) on Data Sheet II.

5.8 Record SSW Pump B discharge pressure as indicated on PI-R003B (local) on Data Sheet II.

5.9 Compute and record SSW Pump B differential pressure (dp).

5.10 Record SSW Pump B flow, indicated on FI-R009B (Local) on Data Sheet II.

NOTE When bearing temperature is taken the pump shall be run until the te=perature s t ab ilized . A bearing temperature shall be considered stable when 3 successive readings taken at 10 minutes intervals do not vary by more than 3%.

5.11 Meaure and record on Data Sheet II pucp upper bearing temperature.

5.12 Measure and record on Data Sheet II pump vibration at the point marked on the upper bearing housing.

  1. 5.'13 Close P41-F006B, using the SSW PMP B RECIRC VLV nandswitch (lH13-P870-7C).
  1. 5.14 Stop.SSW Pu=p B, using the SSW PMP B handswitch (IH13-P870-7C).

5.15 Place the SSW DIV 2 MOV TEST handswitch (lH13-P870-7C) to NORM.

Acknowledge the SSW DIV 2 MOVS IN TEST MODE alarm and the SSW MOV IN IEST STATUS lights cleared.

  1. 5.16 Stop SSW Basin B tower fans.

5.17 Perform Flow Path Valve Lineup. Record on Data Sheet IV.

5.18 Inform the Shif t Supervisor / Superintendent of test completion. (Shift Supervisor / Superintendent's signature is required on the Data Package Cover Sheet.)
