Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Technical Specification Change Request No. 203 Degraded Grid Undervoltage Protection in accordance with 10CFR50.4(b)(1), enclosed is one.(1) original, and in addition ten (10) conformed copies of Technical Specification Change Request No. 203.
Also enclosed is one signed copy of the Certificate of Service for this Request' i
which confirms service to the chief executives of the township and county in
.ich the facility is located, as well as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Bureau of Radiation Protection.
The proposed amendment modifies the TMI-1 Technical ~ Specifications to assure adequate protection of safety related electrical equipment from loss of capability in the event of a sustained degraded voltage condition on the offsite electrical grid system for operation beyond Cycle 8..
Approval of the proposed amendment is required to support the 9R refueling outage.
Pursuant to 10CFR50.91(a) (1),, we enclose our analyses, using the standards in 10CFR50.92 of significant hazards considerations. As stated above,_ pursuant to 10CFR50.91(a) of the regulations, we have provided a copy of this letter, the proposed change in Technical Specifications, and our analyses of significant hazards considerations to Thomas Gerusky, the designated representative of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
