SUMMARY
OF HAVEN SITE VISIT ON OCTOBER 23, 1978; VISIT TO PRIMARY CANDIDATE ALTERNATE SITES ON OCTOBER 24-26, 1978 On October 23, 1978, a site visit and meetings were conducted for the proposed Haven Nuclear Plant.
The meetings which were held in the morning and afternoon were for general orientation to the Haven site, and to discuss and review preliminary questions developed by the NRC staff based upon its review of the applicant's environmental report.
A copy of the agenda and list of participants in these activities is attached.
After the site visit at Haven, brief site visitations were made to the four principal candidate sites for Haven (Wood, Grant, Koshkonong and Kenosha) by the NRC staff and ANL lab team.
The purpose of these visits was for general orientation of technical personnel as to the features of these sites.
These technical personnel are responsible either directly or indirectly for preparation of the NRC staff's environmental impact assessment and assessment of alternative sites.
On the afternoon of October 25, 1978, I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Robert Hetzel, Town Chairman, and other citizens of the town of Rudolph to discuss various alternate site issues.
,~
A general discussion and review of alternate site technical issues was held with the applicant after the site visitations on October 26, 1978.
