7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY C0f0ISSION DOCKET NO. 50-285 CMAHA PUBLIC POWER DISTRICT NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF At1ENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 43 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-40

! issued to Omaha Public Power District which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No.

1, located in Washington County, Nebraska. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.

The amendment revises the Technical Specifications to be con-sistent with the Cycle 5 fuel reload analysis and deletes Technical Specifications that permit partial insertion of Control Element Assemblies. This amendment also corrects typographical errors on Technical Specification pages 11 and 2-66.

J The applications for the amendment comply with the standards and j

requirements of the Atcmic Energy Act of 1954, as amenced (the Act), and the Ccmmission's rules and regulations. The Ccmmissien has made a; pro-priate findings as required by the Act and the Ccamission's rules and regulations ir.10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amend-ment. Prior public motice of this amendment was not required since the .

amendment dces not involve a significant ha: arcs censideration.

The Commission has determined that the issuance of this amendm not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statecent or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment. '
