' VERIFICATION SURVEY OF THE CIMARRON CORPORATION, MIXED OXIDE FUEL FABRICATION PLANT, CRESCENT, OKLAHOMA
Dear.Mr. Davis:
The Environmental Survey and Site Assessment Program of Oak Ridge Associated Universities-performed a verification survey of the East _and West Sanitary Lagoons at-the Cimarron Corporation's Cimarron Facility in Crescent Oklahoma on November =5 through November 7, 1990. The areas. surveyed included the West and.
-East _ Sanitary Lagoons and the immediate. surrounding area.
The walkover gamma scan identified-one-area of elevated. radiation.
A soil sa'mple was obtained in-this area : and 'a nre-scan _of the area indicated background radiation levels.

Surface soil samples:were obtained at'19 systematic locations. Subsurface soil
' samples at various depths, were obtained at.12 locations. ORAU obtained ten soil
~
a samples collected.by Cimarron Facility personnel for comparison analysis by ORAU.
Samples and data are being processed.
