concerning the qualification test documentation review.
We initicted a limited effort in early 1978 to review selected component seismic and envircnnental qualification documentation. This resulted in a questien as to the adequacy cf enisting documentation to denenstrate cc ponent qualification.
In Augutt, o e mponent qualificaticn re-review pro 5:en vos initiated for the sei :ic and environmen:ci qualifiestion test requirements, procedures and reports for the procurements processed by Bechtel. Additicnal questions have been raised as to the adequacy of the qualification records. The potential that a ec=penent eby nct be capable of being qualified exists; hcuever, to date, no ecmponent has been put in this category.
The purpose of the re-reviev is to provide assurance, on a ec prehensive basis, that cdequete documentation has been submitted by the vendors regarding their qualification test progress, to systematically deter ine if applicable require-tents have been satisfied, and to take appropriate cocrective action when.
