If left uncorrected, these voids could have compromised the structural in-tqrity of the containment in that the containment as built could not O.

meet its design load criteria. Repair methods to restore the appro-priate level of safety to the containment are being investigated.

y These methods vill be tested and the results analyzed befor'e they are implemented.

The repairs should be completed by May,1979 At that time a

final report providing a description of the deficiency, an analysis of the safety implications and the corrective actions taken to pre-vent reoccurrence of the problem vill be submitted to your office.
