SUBJEC A STATUS OF IE REQUEST ON AIR LOCK 000R SEAL OPERATION AT

INDIAN POINT, UNIT NO. 2 t-I A memorandum from J. H. Sniezek to B. K. Grimes dated October 24, 1978, identified an IE outstanding review request concerning the requirements for pressurization of the air lock door seals at Indian Point Unit No.
2.
This matter has been discussed with representatives of IE/ Region I and the ORPM, L. Olshan. At the present time, we are awaiting additional information that the licensee has verbally agreed to submit on the docket to support a proposed change to the plant Technical Specifications. We
- g will take action on this issue as part of our review of the plant's

conformance to the requirements of Appendix J to 10 CFR 50 subsequent to the licensee's submittal.
