- s Withdrawal of Request for Exemption Trom Certain Reauirements of 10 CFR Part 21
Dear Mr. Denton:
Reference is made to my letter of June 19, 1978, addressed to Mr. Edson G. Case, then Acting Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation requesting an exemption from the requirements of 10 CFR Part 21 in connection with the procurement by Houston Lighting S Power Company (HLSP) of certain components manufactured by General Electric Company (GE) for use in the South Texas Project (STP).
The specific components to which the request related are SBM and CR 2490 Contcol Switches, ET-16 Indicating
(
Lights, EB-25, -26, and -27 Terminal Blocks, and CLF Fuse Holders, all.of which are to be incorporated into the safety and non-safety related systems in the main control panel of the STP.
Please be advised that GE has now accepted an order for these components subject to the requirements of 10 CFR Part 21.
Accordingly, HLSP withdraws the request for exemption embodied in its letter of June 19, 1978.
