A commitment was made to implement a design change at Plant Hatch Unit 1 to prevent any further violations in secondary containment via the reactor building airlocks.

The scheduled date for completion of this change was Sep-temb2r 30, 1978. At this time an extension until October 31, 1978, will be n2cessary to complete installation of hardware and perform functional tests of the cystem. The present schedule shows completion of hardware installation on cll cirlocks, except the personnel access to the railroad airlock, no later then September 30, 1978. The remaining functional tests and hardware installa-tions should be completed by the extension date.
