Dear Mr. Grier:
This letter is provided in response to your letter of July 12, 1978, received at my office on July 17, 1978, concerning Inspection 50-286/78-13 conducted by R. Bores.
As you are aware, Consolidated Edison, acting as agent for the Power Authority of the State of New York, conducts environmental monitoring for the Authority. The Authority has in writing reminded Consolidated Edison that the Authority must rely upon Consolidated Edison to satisfactorily comply with the site Environmental Technical Spacifications (ETS). Consolidated Edison was also requested to keep the Authority informed of management efforts undertaken to correct the basic causes for the poor showing during Inspection 50-286/78-13 and was given certain minimum recommended actions deemed necessary to correct the specific items of non-ccepliance noted during the inspection.
As soon as the Authority receives a reply from Consolidated Edison to our requests for action in this matter, your office will be notified of the specific actions being taken to correct the items of nun-ccmplian.e and to prevent similar occurrances in the future.
