Dear Chairman Rosenthal:
On October 20, 1978, the NRC Staff received a motion dated October 16, 1978 and bearing the title " Request for Extension of Time in which to File Exceptions to Initial Decision" from Intervenor Susan M. Garrett. This motion, which was captioned as being "Before the Commission," requests an extension of time for Intervenor Garrett to file any exceptions she may have to the Licensing Board's October 5,1978 Initial Decision in the referenced proceeding.
The NRC Staff has no objection to Intervenor Garrett's request for additional time, until October 23, 1978, in which to file exceptions.
