SUBJECT:

SUPEARY OF TRIP TO SNPS BY REACTOR SYSTEMS BRANCH (R REPRESENTATIVES TO TOUR THE FACILITY AND DISCUSS RSB OPEN ITEMS

N On Thursday, September 28, 1978, a trip to SNPS was made by RSB representatives to tour the facility and to meet with Long Island Company (LILCO) representatives to discuss RSB open items for the Shoreham project. A list of meeting attendees is enclosed.

The tour of the facility consisted of at general tour in the morning and a more detailed tour related to RSB areas of review in the early afternoon.

In the meeting, RSB identified current open items and discussed the status of those requiring additional information from the applicant. Also briefly discussed were those items which are open because staff review is not yet complete.

I As a result of the meeting, it is anticipated that the applicant will soon submit additional information related to some of the items discussed.

Meanwhile, RSB will continue work on those items for which its review is Q

not yet complete.
