TVA hereby requests an amendment to Radwaste Shipping Certificate of Cmpliance No. 9139, Revision 1.
We request item 5(b) (1) of the certificate be deleted.
'Ibe subject cask is to be used for transporting low specific activity (LSA) material. Item No. 5(b)(1) of the certificate of cmpliance requires that the contents be solidified or placed in a Department of Transportation specification 7A secondary container. Based on the fact that this cask is a Type A package and that only LSA material in sealed liners will be transported in it, we request that you remove this condition frm the certificate.
In accordance with 10 CFR 170.ll(a)3, an amendment fee is not required.
