REVIEW OF FINANCIAL ASSURANCE SUBMITTALS Enclosed are the first group _of submittals for your review.

Remember to use Draft Regulatory Guide, " Standard Format and Content of Financial Assurance Mechanisms Required for Decommissioning Under 10 CFR Parts 30, 40,_70 and 72",

January 1990 in the review of the submittals.

The draft regulatory guide was superseded with the publication of Regulatory Guide 3.66, June 1990 and contains some slight word changes, but it probably was not used very extensively in_the initial group of submittals.

The attached list presents the name of the licensees, by licensing Region, and their license numbers.

It should be noted that some licensees included more than one license in their submittal.

Your scheduled delivery date of comments on these submittals is 45 calender days from the date of this letter.

The action taken by this letter is considered within the scope of the current contract FIN L1588-0. No change in cost or delivery of products is authorized.

Please notify me inmediately if you believe this letter would result in changes to costs or delivery of contract products.
