The - amendment, if adopted, would require that compliance with the conditions.and cut-off levels of fitness-for-duty programs (10 CFR Part 26) is a condition of an operator or senior operator license. If it is~ adopted, the proposed-amendment would also prohibit.the operator or senior. operator from consuming or ingesting alcohol within the protected area of power reactors, or within the controlled access area of-non-power reactors; it would also prohibit the, operator-or senior operator from selling, using, or possessing any illegal drugs and from performing activities authorized by a license issued under 10 CFR Part 55 while under the influence of alcohol or any prescription drug, + over-the-counter drug or illegal substance which could impair the operator's ability to safely and competently perform his/her licensed duties.
