To Whos It May Concern:
This letter ~1s to forward background information on Lord Marshall and recommend that he be granted unescorted access status during his visit to the L
Beaver Valley Power Station October 8 - 19, 1990.
Lord Marshall's biogra>hical sketch is enclosed as Attachment 1.
As-can be seen from the bio, he s a very prominent member of the British Parliament and of the international nuclear. community.
s In his current position as Chairman of the World Association of NuclearOperators(WANO),heisnotinapositionthatrequireshimtobe.
subject to a druo testing' program.
While-Lord Marshall is at Beaver Valley he will be accompanied by either members of the INP0 team or the licensee's staff the.ma.iority of the time; however, it is'very important that he be-allowed to tour the plant on his own to get maximum benefit from the visit.- For short plant visits escorted access:is practical, but for two weeks, which is the length of Lord Marshall's stay, it is not a tenable approach.
j sincerely, fN~
