LICENSE RENEWAL (TAC NO. L21077) t Enclosed is Materials License SNM-589, as renewed.
The license renewal is for a 5-year period and expires on November 30, 1998.
A copy of our Safety Evaluation Report is also enclosed.
By letter dated June 2, 1993, you requested an exemption to the personnel monitoring requirements. An exemption from the requirements is not necessary if the personnel monitoring regulations specified in 10 CFR 20.202 can be met.
The regulation states that a licensee is required to provide appropriate personnel monitoring equipment to an individual who snters a restricted area and will or is expected to receive in excess of 25 percent of the applicable limit specified in 10 CFR 20.101.
Effective January 1, 1994, the requirement for personnel monitoring will be 10 percent of the limits specified in 10 CFR 20.1201(a).
If you can demonstrate that these criteria can be met, personnel monitoring is not required.
