Task Order No. 012 Entitled, " Automated Contracting System Support", Under Contract No. NRC-33-89-132 This confirm: verbal authorization provided to you on August 31, 1990, to commence work under the subject Task Order with a temporary ceiling of

$80,000.00.

In accordance with the task order procedures of the subject contract, this letter definitizes* Task Order No. 012.

This effort shall be performed in accordance with the enclosed Statement of Work, the contractor's proposal fr-this Task Order No. 012 dated August 10, 1990, incorporated herein by reference, and the following changes as detailed below:

- The Contractor is not authorized to purchase, rent, or lease equipment for the purpose of performing work under this task order, 4

Equipment necessary for performance under this task order will be provided by the NRC.

The Automated Contracting System ( ACS) is a f ully automated sof tware and database package that runs on COBOL on an IBM Systemr36 Model 5360 02K at release 5,1 (PTF 3706) with 2,048K of main storage and 716Mb of disk storage, Processor Expansion Unit C (Feature 4560), 8 line Communication Adapter (Feat'?re 45P1), 8 EI A Adaptprs (Feature 4552),

and 6157 Tape Drive.

ACS is designed to combine the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) with individual agency clauses and provisions in order to prepare standard, repetitive solicitation and contract documents, A major -

feature of this package is the Automated Procurement Documentation System (APDS) which generates documents associated with Federal acquisition process including requests for proposals, contracts, contract modt fications, purchase orders, and letters.

The objective of this task order is to obtain contractor services for maintenance, user support, system development / enhancement, and documentation, including FAR updates and NRC updates for changes and enhancements to the NRC data base and scripts, e

Develop a Users' Guide to include, as a minimum, instructions on how to create, revise, and print solicitations and contracts, use of the option prompt and the copy function, use of OtsplayWrite/36 to create a Fetch, etc.

Respond to general questions on the the design and operation of ACS as it is installed on the NRC's System /36, as well as, the features that are available for conversion.to the System /36.

Provide guidance on maintenance of ACS files and other features on the System /36 so that the overall system operates properly.

l kepofting Requirements Two copies of the Technical Progress Report shall be submitted monthly. One copy is for the Project Officer and the second copy is for the Contracting Officer.
