In my view, we should maintain our current, i
approach to the administration of requalification t
examinations until we have completed the first six-year cycle of these examinations.
At that point, we can evaluate overall licensee performance and, based upon that assessment, consider what changes, if any, are warranted in the way that these examinations are administered.
Any reduction in the NRC's current role prior to that time is premature.. Accordingly, I disapprove Option C.
