- Areas examined during the NRC inspection and'our f edings are discussed in the
.t ~tl enclosed report. This inspection consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by i1 the inspectors.

During this inspection it was-found.that the implementation of 'your quality
)

assurance program failed to meet.certain NRC requirements. The allegation was substantiated in that the manufacturers' markings were not appro)tiately l
described on the CMTR and A&G had marked some nuts not manufactured )y A&G from l
^,'
.an order of 200 with the A&G mark. Nonconformances were identified concerning-Lthe selection and use of suppliers, improperly marked and upgraded nuts, and q
lost traceability of. nuts supplied to nuclear utilities. Two unresolved items concerning disposition of nonconforming material wers also identified during j;
the inspection. A&G is requested to respond to these items in addition to.the responses required by~ the items of nonconformance. The specific findings and references to the pertinent requirements are identified;in the enclosures to q
this letter.
