Dear Sir:
In 1990, I had the opportunity as a resident of Center Springs community to tour enrichment plants in Europe that are the type Louisiana Energy plans to build here, our group saw that these plants are safe and offer' job opportunities for local residents.
As I recall, the majority of workers commuted from a distance of no aco than 20 miles.
As a retired educator, -I am interested in the tay revenues our school board would get from the plant to improve our' school.
Having a better educated workforce.will allow more Claiborne Parish residents to be employed at the LES plant.
Now that the government has studied this plant and!the draft environmental impact statement says the claiborne Enrichment Center can be " constructed and operated with small and acceptable impacts on the environment," I urge the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to license the plant as soon as possible.
Youre ruly,
/.
