SUBJECT:
NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-458/94-03
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. M. F. Runyan and
C. J. Paulk of this office on January 3-7, 1994.
The inspection included a
review of activities authorized for your River Bend Station facility. At the
conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members
of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative records, and interviews with personnel.
The results of
this inspection are documented on page 1, in the enclosed report.
The previous unresolved item from NRC Inspection Report 50-458/9304 regarding
long-term valve operability remains unresolved, pending review of testing from
the fifth refueling, as discussed in Section 3.2 of the enclosed appendix.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
