DOCKET 50-301 STEAM GENERATOR INSPECTION RESULTS POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT. UNIT 2 Below are the steam generator inspection results for Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Unit 2.
The inspections.were performed October 7-13, 1993, during.the Unit 2 fall 1993 refueling outage.
1 This information is. submitted in accordance with Technical Specification 15.4.2.A.7(a), "After each in-service examination, j
the number of. tubes plugged or repaired in each steam 1 generator.
1 shall be reported to the Commission as'soon as practicable."
'I In the "A" steam generator, full-length eddy current testing was performed on 1717 tubes. 'Of the 1717. tubes tested,'46 tubes'(2.7%)
.i were degraded and 1 tube' (0.06%) was defective.
A'totaloof 21-I tubes were' subsequently plugged in accordance with the' technical d
specification plugging limit of 40% through-wall defect or as a.
]
result of industry recognized pluggable indications.
i In the "D" steam generator, 1816 tubes were full-length tested.
Of.the 1816 tubes tested, 97 tubes (5.3%) were degraded.
No tubes H
werc defective.
A total of 12 tubes were subsequently plugged in'

accordance with the technical specification plugging limit of 40%
through-wall-defect or as a result of-industry recognized pluggable indications.
