l At the prehearing conference of September 15,1993 in the captioned matter, Gulf States Utilities Company ("GSU") took the j

position that any _ decision as to whether to hold a further i

prehearing conference 'should await the filings of the parties i

required by the Licensing Board (tr. 85).

GSU has _ reviewed the NRC Staff's pleading of October 13, 1993 and the. reply of ~ Cajun

.j Electric Power Cooperative dated October 27, 1993.

Inasmuch as no j

new arguments have been raised in Cajun's reply and the NRC took a position consistent with GSU's, no further prehearing conference is'-

necessary at this time to address the admissibility of the contentions.

GSU will not burden the record with any response to Cajun's latest paper, but will stand on the responses to intervenor that it has already filed.

For the reasons stated therein, GSU remains of the view that Cajun's petition should be denied.
