DIGITAL ROD POSITION INDICATION Union Electric Company herewith transmits one original and one conformed copy of an application for j
amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-30 for the Callaway Plant.
This amendment application includes revisions to Technical Specification 3.1.3.2 and associated Bases to add an Action Statement covering situations where more than one digital rod position indicator (DRPI)~per bank is inoperable.
This new Action Statement avoids unnecessary plant shutdowns per Technical Specification 3.0.3 yet is consistent with the overall protection afforded by related specifications.
The Callaway Plant on-Site Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Board have reviewed and approved this amendment application.
Attachments 1 through 3 provide the Technical Specification changes, Safety Evaluation, and Significant-Hazards Evaluation, respectively.
It has been determined.that this amendment application does not involve any unreviewed safety questions, as defined in 10CFR50.59, nor : significant hazard-consideration as determined por 10CFR50.92.
