MINUTES OF CRGR HEETING NUMBER 238 i
The Committee to Review Generic Requirements (CRGR) met on Tuesday, March 9, 1993 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
A list of attendees at the meeting is i
attached (Enclosure 1). The following items were discussed at the meeting:

The CRGR reviewed proposed Supplement 5 to Generic Letter 89-10, i
" Inaccuracy of Motor-0perated Valve Diagnostic Eq"pment," regarding new information on the accuracy of motor-operated valve diagnostic equipment i
manufactured by ITI-M0 VATS, ABB-Impell, and Liberty Technologies. The Committee recommended in favor of issuing the proposed supplement, subject to several modifications discussed at the meeting (to be coord-inated with the CRGR staff). This matter is discussed in Enclosure 2.

The CRGR reviewed the NRC staff safety evaluations of generic responses to Generic Letter 89-19, "USI A-47, Safety Implications of Control Syctems," submitted by the BWR and CE Owners Groups. The Committee did not recommend in favor of issuing the safety evaluations in their current form, but provided a number of recommendations for improvement of the package. A revised package will be resubmitted for CRGR review.
