FACILITY POST EXAMINATION REVIEW COMMENTS AND NRC RESOLUTION /

QUESTION:' The following conditions exist:

The "A" loop of- shutdown cooling is being placed in service.

-The LPCI suction valve (F004A) has been closed.

The Shutdown Cooling Suction Valve-(F006A) has been opened.

An inadvertent high drywell pressure signal (1.69 psig) occurs.

Select the statement that describes the expected LPCI system response.

a. The LPCI suction valve will open 'and LPCI will inject using:

both the suppression pool and the reactor vessel as water sources.

b. The Shutdown Cooling Suction Valve will close, the LPCI suction valve will open and LPCI will' inject.
c. The suction valves will not realign and.the RHR pump will not start.
d. The RHR pump will start and will pump water from the Shutdown Cooling Suction to the vessel through the LPCI injection valve.

Condition 3 does not state the F008 and F009 valves.are open. Operators could-assume these valves were closed causing the RHR pump not to start. As a result,' distractor c. could also be correct.
