Enclosed is a letter from Advanced Nuclear fuel requesting an' amendment to export license XSNM02161 to authorize the export of 30,815 kilograms of-Australian origin uranium to West Germany. The uranium will be fabricated into fuel elements at ANF, Lingen and forwarded to the KRB-IIC (Gundremingen 3) i nuclear power plant for use as reload fuel.

Your assistance in obtaining the reciuired approval pursuant to the U.S.-

Australia Agreement for Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy will be greatly appreciated.

We are attaching a copy of XSNM02101, Amendment No.13 for your information.

We have been notified by our European office that the source material to be used for enrichment of the UF, to be supplied as feedstock for reload ANF 5 for the Gundremmingen C Nuclear Power Plant in the Federal Republic will originate in Australia. A copy of the EURATOM notification form has been enclosed which contains information.which may be helpful. It is suspected that Australian approval was given when the uranium sale was made.
