During the week of December 6, 1993, Mr. R. Doornbos and others administered 1
requalification examinations to employees of your organization who operate your Duane Arnold Nuclear Power Station. At the conclusion of the examination preliminary findings were discussed with.those members of your staff i
identified in the enclosed report.
All sections of the examination provided for review to the NRC.were modified prior to administration.
This was done to prevent the potential that existed
)
during development for compromising the integrity of the exam. Three scenarios were deleted and were replaced by one developed by the NRC. 'One additional job performance measure (JPM) was_ replaced by the NRC.
The Duane Arnold requalification training program has been assigned an over.1 program rating of satisfactory in accordance with the criteria.of NUREG-1021, Revision 7, 0perator Licensing Examiner Standards, ES-601.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
