Dear Resident:
This letter is to inform you that the short-term cleanup i
" stabilization" activities work plan submitted by Engelhard to the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is now available for public
]
comment. Copies of the document titled, " Stabilization Plan for the Engelhard Corporation Facility in Plainville, Massachusetts" have been placed in the information repositories specified in the Public Involvement Plan.
Interested citizens will have 45 days from the date of this letter to submit their comments in writing to Bob Brackett at EPA. In addition, an informational public meeting will be held to discuss the proposed plan at 7 P.M.
on Wednesday, January 19 at the Jackson School in Plainville. EPA will comment on the plan at the completion of the public comment period.
The local information repository is located at the Plainville Public
. Library, at 198 South Street. Other information repositories are maintained in Boston at the Dept. of Environmental Protection (DEP) and U.S.
Environmental Protection' Agency (EPA) offices. Appointments to review DEP or EPA copies can be made by calling either:
