Dear Sir:
Amendment 18 to the Post-Defueling Monitored Storage (PDMS) Safety Analysis Report (SAR) is hereby submitted as Enclosure 1. This amendment includes radiological conditions data for a substantial portion of the Auxiliary and Fuel Handling Buildings and a revision to the PDMS organization and suppon organizations. Also included are minor corrections and clarifications.
Revisions to the main SAR text are submitted as page changes. The NRC letter, " Review of the May 28,1993, Request ta Revise the TMI-2 PDMS Requirements and Commitments," dated.
August 5,1993, provided Revision 1 to the list of PDMS Requirements and Commitments.
Amendment 18 necessitates a mvision to a few of these mquirements and commitments. In accordance with Item M.,
"Pmcedures for Changing the Above Requirements and-Commitments," Enclosure 2 provides a revision to the agreed-upon list with changes indicated by a vertical line in the margin; Enclosure 3 provides a discussion and a safety evaluation of each change.
Finally, the above mentioned NRC letter requires an update to the PDMS SAR to reflect the commitment to operate the Auxiliary and Fuel Handling Building Ventilation Systems to provide freeze protection. Amendment 18 satisfies that commitment by revising sections 7.2.6.1.1 and 7.2.6.2.1.
