Dear Er. hickey:
As a retired Supt. Senior Electrical En6 neer in was 1
of the then called "The Lab" in the EnBineerin6 and Construction Dept.
Boston Adison Co. I was interested in the Nuclear Option for the 6eneration of Electrical Ener6y from the start. The Lab was a service organization resp 0neible for the checkin6, testing, and placing in service all electrical eeuipment from generatin6 stations to substations. A very interesting job. All were Braduate en6 neers or studyin6 to Braduate.
1 A good group to work with.
I visited the Rowe Nuclear S tion and the Plymouth Station many times during conetruction and while in operation and was always-impressed with the personal and the stringent safety re6ulations they worked with.
I'm a strong supportor of the full and complete use of the As a result Nuclear Optien for the generation of Electrical Energy in our Country.
So, I am pleaFed to see the intent to construct and place in eervice the Claiborne Enrichment Center in Louiciana. In the interest of National I feel we should have a uranium en Defense and the welfare of us all, enrichoent f acility operational in our own county. In reading the it seeme to me that all baree Abetract and t*.e Summary and Conclusione have been ecvered. So I feel that the construction and operation of the Claiborne Enrichment Center should be approved.
In my opinien there has been far too many delaye in the full use of the nuclear option which have been a benefit for ue all. Also I y
have seen the hazards of the use of coal and oil for the production of electrical energj. The nuclear option ie much cleaner.
