COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, TOPICAL REPORT RXE-91-005, " METHODOLOGY FOR REACTOR CORE RESPONSE TO STEAMLINE BREAK EVENTS" (TAC N0. M80521)

By letter dated May 31, 1991, Texas Utilities Electric Company (TV Electric) submitted topical report RXE-91-005, " Methodology for Reactor Core Response to Steamline Break Events." In response to staff questions, TU Electric provided additional information in a submittal dated September 3,1993.

The staff has reviewed topical report RXE-91-005 and the additional information provided by the licensee and finds the methodology acceptable for use by TV Electric for Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2, as documented in the enclosed safety evaluation.
